1st blog

So I am less than a month away. Everyone keeps asking me if I am nervous. I feel a little strange to say that I am not in least bit nervous. I’m ready! I know there will be times where I’ll be down and in dire straits but I feel that I am prepared and can handle anything that this walk throws at me. I am looking forward to overcoming the challenges that I will face. I am more so looking forward to the awesome people and amazing views that I’ll see. I’m a little worried about domino but I think she’ll be fine. I mean she’s a dog! She’s gonna love it!!

I miss Brittany every day but this walk helps keep her alive in my heart and that is what it all comes down to for me and my family. I hope that people will change and lives will be saved. But it’s all a success to me already. I’ve found a way to keep my sister’s story going…

I have had great support as I have been preparing for this quest. I still need to raise a lot of money but I’ve raised enough to comfortably begin. I really appreciate everyone who is pulling for me on this. I’m going to need that motivation at some points.

I will be posting updates here along the way and hope to keep an interesting blog for everyone to enjoy. I’m sure there will be some stories to tell 🙂
